I was saved when I was sixteen through a gospel tract given by a school friend. At seventeen, I felt the calling into full-time ministry. I told my dad that I wanted to go to seminary after I graduated from high school, however, he did not allow me to do it then. Eventually I went to Seattle University to pursue a degree in philosophy, because that was the closest subject to theology.

I met my husband, Hendra Suhartanto, three months before I graduated. A year after I moved back to Jakarta, we got married. God gave us a precious daughter, Gabrielle, whom I homeschooled all the way until high school. During the busyness of being a wife and homeschooling mother, I had forgotten God’s calling for full-time ministry. But God never forgot! In 2014, three months before my daughter graduated from high school, a professor from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary visited JICF and recruited me to pursue a Master of Arts in Christian Education. Subsequently, by God’s grace alone I was able to complete a Doctor of Education in Ministry from Dallas Theological Seminary in 2020. 

As the Director of JICF Children’s Ministry since 2003, it is my prayer that all the children who come to The Rock will understand the Gospel accurately. And by the power of the Holy Spirit, they will experience regeneration, and will become fully devoted disciples of Christ as they are growing up.

In my free time, I enjoy reading, walking in nature, and spending time with people.

Although I was born and raised in a Christian family, I didn’t automatically consider myself a Christian. When I was young, my parents asked their children to attend church as Sunday morning routine. I considered Sunday school as a fun place to go because that’s where most of my friends were. I ended up becoming a Sunday school teacher in my teen years and was actively serving at my church. During those years I believe God was working in my heart by putting in me the desire to know Him personally. I had the curiosity to know what Christianity was all about. It wasn’t until I was in college in 1995 that I accepted Christ as my personal Savior. It radically changed my life, because it was the first time I was able to embrace the identity God has given me. I started to understand what it meant to have a relationship with Christ and to know that I’ve been saved by His grace alone through my faith in Jesus Christ. The Lord has been faithful in pursuing me with His love as I continue to grow in Him. Jesus is truly the greatest gift in my life.

I joined JICF in 2001 and have been involved in the Children’s Ministry since then. I started to work as a part-time administrator for The Rock in 2004, and became a full-time staff in 2006. I feel very blessed to be on staff here at JICF.  I love serving people through The Rock, and I love meeting new people. I also enjoy meeting with single ladies one-on-one or in a small-group setting studying Scripture.

I accepted Jesus at a young age but only began to to understand the truth and to walk with Him during my college years. That was when I truly realized the depravity of my sin and the amazing grace that He has offered me—the very same grace that I’m clinging to each day. I came to JICF through a women’s Bible Study back in 2014, and since then I have been serving at the Rock. I enjoy helping the kids learn about God, and it is my prayer that they will come to know Jesus as their savior. I currently have the privilege to serve our awesome kids and volunteers in the Preschool Second Service department.

My husband, Jo and I have the privilege of parenting two kids. A few of my favorite things are the arts and crafts, reading, spending time with my family and friends, watching documentaries, dating my husband, and chips!

Though raised in a Christian family, the Lord adopted me into His family when I was in my teenage years. He graciously revealed to me what a sinful, rebellious person I was and that I needed to be rescued from myself with the help of Jesus Christ. The Lord continues to test my allegiance to him, showing me that true happiness cannot be found in the world but only when I let go and let God define who I am in Him.

My husband on earth is Victor Wibawa, and I am a mom of two young girls. We came to JICF in 2012, and I started serving in The Rock in 2014. If I have spare time, I like to watch shows relating to food and houses.

I had known Jesus since I was a little child, but I never understood the gospel until a dear friend shared with me about God’s plan of salvation by grace through faith in Jesus. It was then that I accepted Him as my Savior and Lord on November 04, 2002. My spiritual journey has been filled with joy, laughter, pain, and tears but all of those experiences led me to a deeper relationship with Jesus.

I’ve been serving at The Rock since 2009, and today I serve as the coordinator for first service elementary.

I have been married to Hermanto Tan since 2005, and a fur mommy of a cute Yorkshire terrier named Jessie. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, and morning walks with my husband and my dog.

My life journey simply portrays God’s never-ending grace, kindness and patience. 

The Lord Jesus found me when I was a young teenager, growing up in my aunt’s home. Even though my childhood was far from perfect, I am forever grateful for His work of restoration that has brought me freedom and wholeness. 

I have been attending JICF since 2001 and served in a few different ministries. Only five years ago I started teaching at the Rock, and at the end of my fifth year, the need for a coordinator arose. Without my knowing, the Lord had planned to put the responsibility on my plate. 

On weekdays I teach high school students Economics and Faith Building at a school located in West Jakarta. My favorite activities would be spending time in nature, meditating, and writing.

I was baptized during my high school year, but because I had no godly community I slowly started to walk away from the Lord. It was in the early years of motherhood that I experienced a personal encounter with the Lord, and since then my life has been totally changed and I truly treasure my relationship with the Lord.

I am now the daughter of the Most High King & a follower of Christ. My passion is to help others to know Jesus & to experience a personal relationship with Him.

I have been serving at The Rock Children Ministry since 2013. It gives me such pleasure to consistently plant the seed of truth in the lives of these little ones. May the Lord causes them to grow and bear fruits in His good time.
