Hendra Suhartanto

Are you experiencing victories in your life today made possible by this resurrection power?

The Absurdity of Mocking Jesus (Mark 15:16-32)
John Freiberg
We gather on what Christians have often referred to as “Palm Sunday”. It is a day that we celebrate the beginning of the most important week in history. This is the week that Jesus’s whole earthly life was building towards. And at the center of this week is the cross. The Gospel writers spend around 40% of their narratives on this one week. This one week, usually referred to as the Passion week, in Jesus’ earthly life represents about .1% of His time on earth, but the Gospel accounts, as one theologian put it, “are essentially passion narratives with extended introductions.” The cross is not only at the epicenter of Jesus’ life and ministry, it is at the epicenter of everything. Lets consider the cross and what Jesus’s suffering and death means for us and the world.
